Hello, friends!

Welcome to The Recipe Legacy Project! This blog was created because of my love of history, family genealogy and old community spiral bound cookbooks. I'm glad to have you here!

Hi, I'm Lona!
(Rhymes with Donna)

As a 40 something, I decided to go back to college and get my degrees in American Sign Language Interpreting. Currently working on my Associate's Degree, but hope to continue to my Master's.

I live in Ohio with my husband, our 8 houseplants and outdoor feral cat, Black Fluffy, who I feed, but won't let me pet.

I'm a child of the 80's and 90's and I'm a huge fan of nostalgia, history and genealogy. I've started more blogs than I can count.

I've always had a fascination with old spiral bound church/organization cookbooks with recipes submitted by women I wish I could have met in their lifetimes. Their recipes are part of their legacy and I'm here to share them. I wish I could find one with my family members' recipes inside, but until I do, I will happily extend the legacy for others!
